Description
A magical piece of jewelry, the Labradorite Ring with diamonds.
Measuring 20 x 15 mm in 18K yellow gold.
Labradorite is a member of the Feldspar family. It is known for its extraordinary play of color, known as labradorescence. The stone is composed of cumulative layers that refract light as iridescent flashes. The predominant blue changes within light, displaying hues of green, dark gray, and even black and white.
This crystal was first discovered in Labrador, Canada in 1770 and was named for the area. It is, however, referenced in legends by older Inuit tribes, and was known to be in use by people in Maine for over a thousand years.
